Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 October 2026

Knowledge Basics Tech respects the privacy of its readers. This policy explains what information may be processed when you visit this website, use its contact features or interact with its content. It also explains the role of third-party services that help operate the site.

1. Information you choose to provide

You may voluntarily provide information when you submit a contact form, leave a comment or communicate with the site. This may include your name, email address, message and any details you decide to include.

Please do not submit passwords, one-time codes, payment information, identity documents, private account data or other secrets. We do not need that information to answer an editorial question or correction request.

2. Hosting and service information

This website is hosted on Blogger, a Google service. Google receives technical information, including IP address, browser/user-agent information and performance and security metrics, to deliver the site, maintain service quality and address abuse. These hosting services are separate from the optional Google Analytics measurement described below.

3. Google services

Blogger supplies hosting and the site's contact-form service. Images and site resources may be delivered from Google domains. Google processes the information needed to provide these services. See the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

4. Your cookie and analytics choices

Our privacy controls offer Accept analytics, Reject analytics and Manage preferences. Optional analytics is off until you accept. Rejecting it still lets you read our guides. You can open Privacy settings at the bottom of any page, change the analytics checkbox and select Save preferences, or select Reject analytics to withdraw permission.

We store your choice and its date in your browser's local storage under kbt_analytics_consent_v1 for up to 180 days. Clearing site data or using a different browser or device may cause the question to appear again. Essential hosting and security processing is not switched off by this control. Your browser also provides controls to delete or block cookies.

5. Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 is configured for Knowledge Basics Tech. With your permission, it helps us understand which guides are visited, broad traffic sources, device categories and engagement so we can improve navigation and explanations. It can use first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_… to distinguish visits. The Analytics script is loaded only after you accept. Google Signals and advertising personalization signals are disabled in our site configuration.

When you reject or withdraw permission, the site disables Analytics, removes matching Analytics cookies that are accessible to the site and reloads the page if Analytics had already loaded. Withdrawal stops future optional measurement; it does not undo information already sent with your earlier permission. You can also use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported.

6. Advertising and advertising consent

As of 8 October 2026, Knowledge Basics Tech is connected to Google AdSense but is not approved to show ads. Blogger’s AdSense integration can load Google advertising and Funding Choices consent resources. Loading these resources sends technical request information, such as an IP address and browser information, to Google; the absence of a visible advertisement does not mean those resources never load.

A European regulations message is published for this site in Google AdSense. It provides Consent, Do not consent and Manage options choices for readers in the EEA, UK and Switzerland when Google displays the message. The separate Accept analytics / Reject analytics controls on this site govern optional Google Analytics only; accepting analytics does not grant advertising consent.

When Google’s advertising consent message is available, use Manage options to review its purposes and partners. Use the advertising privacy and cookie settings link provided with that message to change or withdraw advertising consent. Our Privacy settings button continues to control analytics separately. Personalized advertising requires the appropriate advertising consent choices; its live operation will be checked before such advertising is introduced. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

7. Comments and contact messages

Comments are moderated to reduce spam, unsafe links and inappropriate material. A comment may display the name or profile you choose to use. Contact messages are used to review and respond to the request, protect the site or keep a reasonable record of an editorial correction. We do not sell contact details.

8. External links and embedded content

Articles may link to official documentation, research, tools or other websites. External sites have their own privacy practices. An embedded video, form or other third-party feature may process information as though you visited that provider directly. We aim to use such features only when they add clear value.

9. Data retention and security

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was received, legal obligations, dispute resolution, security or abuse prevention. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but reasonable steps are used to limit unnecessary collection and protect administrative access.

10. Children’s privacy

This site provides general technology education and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from young children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information may contact us through the Contact page.

11. Your choices and rights

You may ask a privacy question or request correction or deletion of personal information that you directly submitted to the site. Rights vary by jurisdiction and may be subject to verification and lawful exceptions. Use the Contact page and describe the relevant interaction without sending additional sensitive information.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised when the site adds a material service, changes a data practice or needs to explain a legal requirement more clearly. The effective date at the top will be updated when a meaningful revision is published.

13. Contact

For privacy questions, use the Contact page on Knowledge Basics Tech.
